This kit contains 2 oz each of Lavender Spike Oil Essence, Lean Medium and Fat Medium.
All the solvent and mediums you need to complete a painting using the fat-over-lean method. Can be used with other painting oils, such as Linseed and Walnut. 
 
2 oz Lavender Spike Oil Essence- This safer historic alternative to turpentine and mineral spirits has a distinctive lavender, herbaceous scent. Use it to thin oil painting mediums, resins, and varnishes. It's not overly abrasive or streaky, and it evaporates at a similar rate as turpentine. This natural solvent has been used since the Renaissance, and is non-carcinogenic
 
2 oz Lean Medium- This archival-quality medium thins oil paints and decreases drying time. The oil in CCS Lean Medium is cold-pressed, purified, and de-yellowed by traditional, natural processes. Lavender gives the medium a strong, sweet smell. Recommended for use in the early layers of your painting while painting fat-over-lean.
 
2 oz Fat Medium- Designed for use with fat-over-lean oil painting techniques, this medium makes oil paints fatter, richer, and glossier. It also helps increase paint film adhesion and decreases drying time for oil colors. Recommended for use in the later stages of painting.
